Global Packaging Since 2011: A Father’s Foundation, A Son’s New Chapter
Every business has a story. Some stories begin with a big idea. Others begin with years of planning. The story of Global Packaging began in a simpler way—with a decision to start. In 2011, Mr. Jitender Kapoor started Global Packaging in New Delhi, around the Paschim Vihar and Nangloi area. More than a decade later, the business continues its journey in the packaging industry. But today, there is something new. A website. And behind that website is the next generation of the family. This is not just the story of a packaging company. It is the story of a father’s work, a son’s new perspective, and a family business entering its next chapter. Where Global Packaging Started Global Packaging began in 2011 in New Delhi. The business was built around packaging and the needs of other businesses. Over the years, packaging has changed. Customer needs have changed. The way businesses sell their products has changed too. Yet one thing has stayed important: reliable packaging. A package must protect the product. It must also suit the product, the business, and the way it will be stored or transported. That simple need is at the heart of what Global Packaging does. From corrugated boxes to custom packaging, the company works with businesses that need practical packaging solutions for their products. The journey that started in 2011 continues today. Growing With the Packaging Industry Packaging is not the same for every business. A manufacturer may need strong corrugated boxes for transportation. An online seller may need packaging for regular deliveries. A brand may want printed boxes that carry its logo and identity. Every requirement can be different. This is why custom packaging has become an important part of the Global Packaging approach. The goal is not simply to provide a box. The goal is to provide packaging that fits the customer’s needs. Size, structure, material, printing, quantity, and purpose can all matter when choosing packaging. Over the years, Global Packaging has built its work around these everyday business requirements. What Global Packaging Offers Today, Global Packaging provides a range of packaging products and services for businesses. Its core offerings include corrugated boxes and custom packaging solutions. The company also works with printed packaging and other packaging products designed for different business needs. The range includes: Different products serve different purposes. A corrugated box can help protect products during storage and transportation. Printed packaging can help a brand present its identity. Die-cut packaging can provide a shape designed around a specific product. The right packaging depends on the requirement. That is why understanding the customer’s needs comes first. The Man Who Started It Behind Global Packaging is Mr. Jitender Kapoor, who started the business in 2011. As his son, I have always known Global Packaging as part of our family. But knowing that a family business exists and understanding how it works are two different things. For a long time, I had not really spoken to my father about the business in depth. I did not know every detail about how it started. I did not know every challenge he faced. I did not know every decision that helped shape the company. And I do not want to create a story around things I do not know. What I do know is simple. My father started Global Packaging in 2011. He built the business over the years. And the work he started became part of our family. That is the foundation of this story. When the Website Changed My Perspective My own involvement with Global Packaging started in a different way. It started with a website. When I began working on the Global Packaging website, I initially saw it as a digital project. The goal was simple: create a proper online presence for the business. A place where customers could discover Global Packaging. A place where they could understand our products and services. A place where they could contact us. But while building the website, something else happened. I started asking questions. What products should we show? What services do we provide? How should we explain our work? What information would a customer need? How should we present the business online? Those questions led to conversations with my father. For the first time, I started looking at the business from a different point of view. I was not only looking at it as my father’s business. I was beginning to understand it as a real business that had been built over many years. From a Physical Business to a Digital Presence My father built Global Packaging through the traditional world of business. I am helping build another part of it through the digital world. That difference matters. A website cannot replace years of experience. It cannot replace customer relationships. It cannot manufacture trust overnight. But it can help people discover a business. It can show what the company offers. It can make information easier to access. It can give customers a place to explore products and services before they make an enquiry. That is what we wanted the Global Packaging website to become. More than a digital visiting card. A proper online home for the business. More Than a Website For me, the Global Packaging website has a meaning beyond business. It is my contribution to something my father started. He started the company in 2011. I came into the picture years later, through a completely different skill set. Instead of starting another business from scratch, I found myself working on something that already existed. That changed how I looked at it. The website became a way to document the business. It became a way to present its products. It became a way to introduce Global Packaging to people who may never have heard of us before. Most importantly, it became a reason for me to become more involved. A website project slowly became a learning experience about our own family business. A Father and Son, Two Different Chapters Family businesses often carry
